One of Raven-Symone’s most recent appearances is the film Revenge of the Bridesmaids. The movie helped cap the 2010 wedding season when it premiered on ABC this July.James Hayman is the film’s director. In the past, he has directed episodes of “Drop Dead Diva” and “The Sopranos.” As a producer, Hayman is responsible for “Ugly Betty” as well as “Joan of Arcadia.” With a majority of his shows appealing to women, Revenge of the Bridesmaids falls into the same category.The storyline is both funny and heartfelt. When a best friend’s former flame gets engaged to a fraud, Abigail (Raven) and Parker (Joanna Garcia) step in to save, or rather, ruin the day! During one of her video blogs, Raven talked about the filming and said “the cast is amazing and there are some funny moments that I’m laughing out loud” (Raven-Symone.org).As far as cast goes, the film showcases a range of television stars. Raven’s co-star, Garcia, has achieved roles in “Gossip Girls” as well as “Reba.” Other cast members include Beth Broderick (“Lost”) and David Clayton Rogers (Pregnancy Pact).The film was a success, reaching over 2 million viewers on its premier night.
