Terms and Conditions

Raven Live is a live-streaming and social networking app helping African creators earn money globally. Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before using the http://www.ravenlive.com website and the mobile and PC application (the "Service") operated by Raven Livestream Technologies ("us", "we", or "our"). Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICE YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE USER TERMS BY CLICKING THE “ACCEPT” BUTTON BEFORE BEING GRANTED ACCESS TO RAVEN LIVE, OR OTHERWISE WHERE YOU ACCESS OR USE RAVEN LIVES, OR YOU REGISTER AN ACCOUNT WITH US. A LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT BETWEEN YOU AND US WILL THEN BE FORMED (THE “USER AGREEMENT”), CONSISTING OF THESE USER TERMS, GOVERNING YOUR ACCESS TO AND USE OF RAVEN LIVES. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ANY PART OF THE TERMS THEN YOU MAY NOT ACCESS THE SERVICE. OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN TAILORED TO MEET THE REGULATIONS SET BY THE NATIONAL INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (NITDA).
These terms apply to all Raven Live users:
Please Note: In these terms, we used the definition “Host”. These are the companies, businesses, individuals, and organizations that use Raven as a platform to organize and host their Events.
USERS OF RAVEN LIVE
There are two different types of Raven users to which these terms apply;
1. “Organizers”: They are individuals, usually a creator, employees, and contractors who manage, run, and host Events. Organizers have special access privileges and are invited to access and use Raven Live by a Host.
2. “Participants”. You are in this category if you attend an event on Raven Live, are either invited to a specific Event by a Host or have signed up for a Raven Live account and attend an event using their account details. “Participants” also include Participants that have been invited by the Host as a guest to speak or perform at an Event, exhibit at an Event, or be Event sponsors. In these terms, unless specified otherwise you are a “User” or “Raven Live User”.
OUR ROLE
Events are organized and administered by the Host, not us. We are a third party providing the platform for an Event to take place. We are not responsible and cannot be held liable: In instances where an Event is canceled for any reason by the Host, for how an Event is run, for any content produced or activities carried out during an Event, for the conduct or Contributions (as defined below) of any other Users. If any of the matters listed above have caused an issue for you, you should contact the Host, whose responsibility it is to deal with the matter. However, if you have paid for a ticket to an Event and would like to discuss a refund (See our refund policy), you should contact us at support@ravenlive.com. We will promptly attend to this matter.
Our responsibility is to provide the technical facility for the Event to run. If you are experiencing technical issues with Raven Live, please contact us at support@ravenlive.com.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HOST TO YOU
The Host has full control over the running of any Event. This includes when Events are created and how they are configured, and what functionality and third-party integrations are activated for use at each Event. The Host may prohibit or withdraw access to Events and/or Raven Live to any User at any time.
It is solely the Host’s responsibility to inform you of any relevant policies and practices of the Host that apply to your use of Raven Live outside of these User Terms, inform you of any relevant policies and practices of the Host that apply to your use of Raven Live outside of these User Terms, respond to and resolve any dispute between the Host and you, or between you and any other User.
LICENSE TO USE RAVEN LIVE
We license you to access and use Raven Live where you are an Organizer, either for the internal business purposes of the Host where the Host is a business or, for your own personal purposes where the Host is an individual using Raven Live in their personal capacity, including in both cases to create, organize and host Events on Raven Livestream and where you are a Participant, to attend Events and act within any restrictions set by the Host, as permitted in these User Terms.
PURCHASES
If you wish to purchase any product or service made available through the Service ("Purchase"), you may be asked to supply certain information relevant to your Purchase including, without limitation, your personal information & banking/ financial services details.
TICKET PURCHASES AND LIVE PAYMENTS
Some parts of the Service are billed on ticket purchase and live payment basis ("Purchases(s)"). You will not be billed in advance for a recurring product or content. Hosts and event organizers on Raven Live after offering their services would be entitled to 70% off all tickets Purchased and 90% off all live payments made. Raven Livestream would be requited 30% on all tickets sold and 10% on all live payments made as well. The amount to be withdrawn and the number of tickets sold would be displayed when the withdrawal/transfer of funds is to be made. When your event is over, all the withdrawable funds will be sent to you within 14 working days pending when you request a “withdrawal” or “transfer of funds”.
CONTENT
Our Service allows you to live-stream, post, link, store, share, and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material ("Content"). You are responsible for how your content is displayed. We take delicate care in ensuring that before your content is streamed by creators, they affirm that the works being put forth are entirely theirs or are done with the requisite permission from necessary parties and as such refuses liability for any content that is uploaded and infringes on the rights or copyrights of another, or negates the terms and conditions set out.
LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Raven Livestream Technologies. Raven Livestream Technologies has no control over and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Raven Livestream Technologies shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.
TERMINATION OR SUSPENSION
We however reserve the right to terminate or suspend usage by Hosts, participants, or third parties if it contravenes our terms of usage or at our sole discretion or the guidelines created by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
Except as permitted by these User Terms, not rent, lease, sub-license, loan, provide, or otherwise make available, your right to use or access Raven Live or any part of it, in any form, in whole or in part to any person without prior written consent from us or in respect to Event content except as permitted by the Host; not copy Raven Live or any part of it, except as part of the normal use of Raven Live or where it is necessary for the purpose of back-up or operational security; not translate, merge, adapt, vary, alter or modify, the whole or any part of Raven Live or any content on it, nor permit Raven Live or any part of it to be combined with, or become incorporated in, any other programs, except as necessary to use Raven Live as permitted in these User Terms; not disassemble, de-compile, reverse engineer or create derivative works based on the whole or any part of Raven Live or any content on it nor attempt to do any such things, except to the extent permitted by law.
CHANGES
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is necessary, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a necessary change will be determined at our sole discretion.
